Late morning accident temporarily closes LA Hwy. 3 north of Bossier City
According to sketchy details from the Bossier Sheriff’s Office at this time, a late morning major crash on Louisiana Highway 3 north of Bossier City near Cash Point Landing closed the northbound lanes of the state highway for over two hours.
Traffic was diverted to Vanceville Rd. during the temporary road closure. BSO now reports that Highway 3 has been cleared and has now been reopened to traffic.
Unconfirmed reports from witnesses on the scene state that a black SUV was heading north on Highway 3 at full speed when it plowed directly into an excavator with the SUV immediately bursting into flames upon impact.
There is no word on fatalities/injuries at this time.
