BOSSIER CITY – Services for Laura Jo Byas Smith, 38, will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Bryan Reed, associate pastor of The Simple Church. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. at St. Rest Cemetery, Arcadia, LA. Visitation with the family will be 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City.

Laura was born March 21, 1975 in Bossier City and passed away January 20, 2014 in Bossier City. She was a Christian. Laura owned a cleaning service.

Laura is survived by her parents, Gary and Carla Byas; son, Chase David Smith; daughter, Taylor Nicole Smith; brothers, Don Byas and wife Sandi, Clint Byas and wife Kendal and nieces and nephews, Blake, Emily, Ryleigh, and Wyatt Byas. She is also survived by grandparents, Jean Cox and Ben Stuteville Jr.; uncles, Hoppy Stuteville and wife Pattie, Ben Stuteville III and wife RoxAnne; aunt, Tina Worthington and husband Jerel; best friends, Tina Cole and family and Jessica O’Neal and family; mother-in-law and sister-in-law, Emily and Rebecca Reiser and nephew, Brantli David.

The family would like to thank the staff at Feist-Weiller Cancer Center for their loving care, especially Cheryl Duncan, PA, the treatment room nurses and vital techs.

Honoring Laura as pallbearers will be Ben Stuteville III, Robert Stuteville, Jerel Worthington, Stephen Arbaugh, Jay Mathews and Tommy Woltz.

For those attending the service. Laura requested that everyone dress comfortably.
