The Bossier Chamber of Commerce concluded its 2026 Public Policy Series on Monday, Oct. 19, with a Legislative Wrap-Up luncheon at Horseshoe Casino & Hotel, bringing the regional business community together to discuss key developments from Louisiana’s most recent legislative session.

The luncheon featured Rowdy Gaudet, vice president of marketing and strategic communications for the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), who provided a statewide perspective on legislative outcomes and discussed future initiatives under consideration.

The event marked the culmination of the chamber’s 2026 Public Policy Series, which connected the regional business community with elected officials, appointed leaders and policy experts to explore issues affecting the local and state economy.

The series brought together local, state and national perspectives on issues shaping our communities and economy. Attendees heard from Judge Michael Nerren of the 26th Judicial District Court about the state of the courts in Bossier Parish, explored regional transportation and infrastructure priorities during the 2026 Transportation Symposium, and gained a national perspective from Tom Wickham, Vice President and Managing Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“A strong business community creates a strong community. That means staying informed, being engaged, and ensuring that the voice of business is part of the conversation,” said Lisa Johnson, president and CEO for the Bossier Chamber of Commerce.

The Public Policy Series reflects the chamber’s ongoing commitment to keeping businesses informed and encouraging engagement on public policy issues that affect the region.

The Bossier Chamber of Commerce extends its sincere thanks to Barksdale Federal Credit Union, Expand, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Willis Knighton Health for their support of the 2026 Public Policy Series. Their commitment to our regional business community helps foster meaningful conversations and engagement on the public policy issues that shape our region’s future.
