With Christmas coming soon it is always nice to save a little money. Any of the Bossier Parish Library branches can help with that. Now through Monday, December 7th patrons can have their late fees waived in exchange for one or more non-perishable food items. For multiple accounts, food items must be presented for each account. This is a good way to take care of a fine and help someone else too.
As with most things there are some exceptions: the cost of lost or damaged items cannot be waived; late fees on laptops cannot be waived. Food items that are dented, rusted, torn open or are past the expiration date will not be accepted.

While at the library take home some favorite DVDs like “The Man from U.N.C.L.E;” “A Year and Change;” or “Cooties.” Several new T.V. series have arrived: “Doctor Who: Series 9, Part 1;” “Fear the Walking Dead: Season 1;” and “Major Crimes.”
New DVDs for kids include “Inside Out;” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cowabunga Christmas;” and “Transformers: Robots in Disguise: A New Autobot Mission.”
