In this column each week I list the newest fiction and nonfiction book titles available at the Bossier Central Library. With a few exceptions the lists posted are different due to the generous amount of new books the library receives on a regular basis.
Patrons who are avid readers usually go straight to the New Books section searching out the latest titles by their favorite authors. And, unless they have placed a hold on a particular book chances are they will find something that catches their eye. For those who cannot find what they want there are several other options.

Many of the same titles can be found at the other branches throughout the parish and can be transferred to your home branch. This can be done in person at the library or by placing a hold from your home computer. When the item(s) you requested arrive the library will call or send you a notice by email to let you know.
Another way to locate a book is to request an Inter Library Loan (ILL). Or, go to the BPL website, www.bossierlibrary.org and click on “How do I borrow items from other library systems (ILL).” This will take you to Loan Shark a catalog of materials in all Louisiana public libraries. As always library staff is available if you need help.
