BOSSIER CITY – On June 6, 2013 Lin, surrounded by her loving family and friends, passed away after a courageous battle with liver disease.
She was born August 5, 1946 in Mexico, Missouri. Lin moved to Bossier in 1978 and was a faithful member of Fellowship United Methodist Church where she took enjoyment as wedding and funeral coordinator after her career in mortgage banking.
Lin was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edwin & Betty Ann Forsythe. She is survived by her husband Fred Hapgood, step-father Lloyd Browning, children Sean Weiser, Gina Weiser and Kara Fortune and husband Wesley, step-children Libby Ashlock and husband Dennis, Cheri Lord and husband Paul, and Byron Hapgood and wife Suzie. Lin was “Grammy” to Alli Margaret Ann Fortune, Abbigail Fortune, Walker Fortune, Addison Fortune, Jake Hapgood, Aaron Hapgood, Elizabeth Hapgood and Haleigh Gardner, brothers Patrick Forsythe and wife Kay, Bob Forsythe and wife Terri, Scott Forsythe and wife Ellen, sister Kristen Forsythe and step-sister Marcia Harrelson.
Services for Lin will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2013 at Fellowship United Methodist Church, 4750 Barksdale Blvd., with Reverend Jonathan Beck officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Dr. Manapragada, M.D. and the 4th floor staff at Willis Knighton Pierremont for the comfort and care given to Lin and her family.
