Six celebrity shoppers will have two minutes to race through a store and fill their grocery carts in the third annual Great Grocery Giveaway Tuesday, Nov. 10.
The Great Grocery Giveaway, hosted by Boomtown Casino and Hotel, helps raise money for the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana and provides more than 10,000 meals to the needy in the community.
Last year, Martha Marak from the Food Bank and Austin Muchemore, VP and General Manager of Boomtown, took home the win and helped raise $5,000 for the cause. Boomtown team members are getting incolved by packing meals at the Food Bank.
Roughly 90,000 individuals and 1 in 5 children face hunger or food insecurity every day in our area. The Great Grocery Giveaway will take place Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 7:30 a.m. at the Brookshire’s Food & Pharmacy on Line Avenue in Shreveport.
