PINEVILLE, La (LCNews)–The executive pastor of First Baptist Church, Bossier City — Dr. Jerry Pipes — shared his perspectives about aspects of the Christian lifestyle with students at Louisiana College, Feb. 4.
With the topic “Freedom isn’t free,” Pipes said during the college’s weekly chapel service that there is “nothing anyone can choose to do or to be that does not come with a price tag.”

Selling out to Christ and being all-in every day will be he smartest decision you could ever make,” Pipes advised, adding that such a decision “will save you a lifetime of frustration.”

Concluding the 30-minute sermon from Phillipians 2:5-11, Pipes challenged the students to consider following Christ in abandonment of their current paths, and 15 students raised their hands, thus indicating their desire to turn from sinful behavior and live as a Christian should in fellowship with Jesus Christ.

Pipes is one among several notable pastors who have preached, and will preach in LC’s chapel this spring semester. Pipes’ sermon and others may be viewed here.
