The Louisiana Storm won the USSSA 11 Majors Louisiana state championship at Cypress Mound ballpark in Baton Rouge last month.
Eight of the team’s 10 players are from Bossier Parish. One is from Caddo and one is from East Texas. The Storm played in tournaments in Tyler, Texas; Longview, Texas; Lake Charles, Lafayette, Zachary and Baton Rouge. They compiled a record of 24-14. In the state tournament they had a team batting average of .419 with 57 hits in six games.
“They are a fantastic group of boys and baseball players,” coach Joe Tynes said. “Their focus and determination was the difference in this tournament. When you play four baseball games on Sunday in 100-degree heat you have to really dig deep and decide you want it more than the other team. And we did that on Sunday.”

Team members are Hunter Hollan, Brayden Thompson, Cody Deen, Tanner Timms, Clint Lasiter, Will Tynes, Peyton Lewis, Riley Beck, Bryson Connell and Gabriel Larry. Coaches are Tynes, Mike Timms and Jarvis Larry.
