Former Airline pitcher Andrew Lowe and former Benton pitcher Aaron Sheppard helped the West defeat the East 7-1 in the Louisiana High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Star Game on Saturday in Denham Springs.
Lowe and Sheppard were among six West pitchers that combined for a two-hitter, according to The Baton Rouge Advocate.
Lowe, an Ole Miss signee, pitched the final two innings. He faced seven batters, striking out three and walking one.
“Lowe was very dominating,” West coach Glenn Cecchini of 5A state champ Barbe told The Advocate. “He’s going to be a big leaguer one day.”
Sheppard, a Louisiana Tech signee, pitched one inning.
