Louisiana State Police are investigating a fatal accident on I-20 eastbound at Exit 33 (Haughton) in Bossier Parish.
Investigators say it happened just after 12:30 p.m. and it involved a 2003 Hyundai Sonata. The Sonata was traveling east on Interstate 20 just east of LA 154 when for reasons the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to exit the right side of the roadway and crash.
The driver was not restrained at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries, according to state police. The victim has not been identified.
Toxicology samples will be obtained and submitted for analysis.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash. The scene has since been cleared and all lanes of traffic are open.
The crash remains under investigation.
