SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER, LA – The 2016 Lt. Governor’s Tourism Summit, a statewide gathering of Louisiana tourism and hospitality professionals organized annually by the Louisiana Travel Promotion Association (LTPA), will be held in Shreveport-Bossier, Aug. 23-25.

Conference activities, including a keynote address by Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser and educational break-out sessions, will take place at Shreveport Convention Center in downtown Shreveport. The conference will also include guided bus tours of Shreveport-Bossier, an opening reception at Sam’s Town Hotel and Casino, and more.

More than 300 delegates are expected to take part in the conference. Conference activities are for registered attendees only.

“We’ve hosted Summit twice in the last decade, in 2008 and 2012, and this is another excellent opportunity to showcase Shreveport-Bossier to the hospitality and travel industry,” said Stacy Brown, president of the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.

According to its website, “LTPA is a trade association leading and strengthening Louisiana’s vibrant tourism industry through promotion, education and advocacy on behalf of our members.”
