M. Samantha McAllister and Peter Thomas Williams to wed

SamPeteColor.jpgMr. and Mrs. Michael A. McAllister are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, M. Samantha McAllister, to Peter Thomas Williams of Wanaque, New Jersey.

Samantha is the granddaughter of Ms. Eloise G. Swofford of Marietta, Georgia and the late Mr. and Mrs. Miller & Evelyn Swofford of Thomson, Georgia and the late Mr. and Mrs. John K. McAllister, Sr. of Bossier City, and the goddaughter of Mary Anne DiFilippo Lindsay of Deefuniak Springs, Florida. Peter is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Brown of Wanaque, New Jersey and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph McClellan of Haskell, New Jersey. Samantha and Peter are proud owners of two dogs, Marie Antoinette and Madeline Reese.

Samantha is a graduate of Loyola College Prep. She earned two Associate of Arts degrees summa cum laude from the Division of Fine Arts and Liberal Arts (history/political science) from Bossier Parish Community College in 1998, a Bachelor of Arts in History magna cum laude from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 2000 and a Master of Arts in History from Louisiana Tech University in 2002. In 2005, she received her Juris Doctorate/Bachelor of Civil Law from Paul M. Hebert School of Law, Louisiana State University. She is currently an attorney in Bossier City and the owner of Law Office of M. Samantha McAllister since January, 2006.

Peter is the graduate of Lakeland High School. Upon joining the United State Marine Corps in November 1997, he served in three overseas campaigns as well as earning various awards and citations including multiple Navy Commendation, Navy Marine Corps achievement, Combat Action, and Good Conduct Medals. After leaving the Marine Corps in 2005, he worked as an anti-terrorism office in the Northeast region and is currently a Staff Sergeant serving as a recruiter in the Louisiana Army National Guard.

The couple will marry January 11, 2014 in Bossier City. Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Bossier City.
