Man arrested for robbing couple at gunpoint

Bossier City police have arrested a Shreveport man for robbing a two people at gunpoint earlier this week at a local motel.

Detectives with the BCPD’s Violent Crimes Unit arrested 28-year-old Johnathan Pierre Hart on a charge of armed robbery in connection with a hold up that happened late Monday night. It happened at the Bossier Inn & Suites in the 700 block of Diamond Jacks Boulevard.

Hart is charged with robbing a man and woman of a mobile phone while the couple was washing clothes in a laundry room located on the motel property. During the incident, Hart kicked the female victim in the head, resulting in a minor injury.

Over the course of the subsequent investigation, detectives secured information linking Hart to the robbery. He was in custody within several hours of the incident and the stolen phone was recovered.

Hart was booked into the Bossier City Jail early Monday morning. He was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility in Plain Dealing.
