Man found guilty of drug charges

District Attorney Schuyler Marvin reports that a Bossier Parish jury returned guilty verdicts in a trial for 2 counts of drug distribution after less than two hours of deliberations this week.

Kevin O’Brien Allen, 31, of Haughton faces up to thirty years in prison on each count.

Additionally, Marvin expects to charge Allen as a habitual offender, which could subject Allen to even more prison time.

Marvin said, “The use of technology, which secretly recorded both transactions, can be very beneficial to law enforcement. The Bossier Sheriff’s Office does an excellent job making sure that these undercover drug deals are done in a safe, responsible manner so that when the case goes to trial, the jury can watch the transaction as if they were actually there when the deal occurred.”

Marvin added, “I am also proud of my Assistant District Attorney, Alexandra “Allie” Aiello, who was in charge of preparation and presentation of the State’s case.”
