BOSSIER CITY – Margaret Giles, 95, died peacefully in her sleep Monday, January 20, 2014. Graveside services for Mrs. Giles will be 11 a.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 at Emma Cemetery, Hwy 259 in Bossier Parish, LA. Officiating will be Rev. Tommy Patton. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2013 at Rose-Neath Funeral in Bossier City.
She is predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Roy Giles. She is survived by their three children, Marisu Ludwig, Royce Brocato (Ronnie) and Mike Giles (Irene). Miss Margaret was a devoted grandmother to seven grandchildren, Lyn, James (Eugenia), Richard (Kim) and Susan Ludwig; Angela Hawkins (Greg), Melissa Woods and Kim Giles Fisher (Will). Great grandchildren include Michael Patrick (Tracy), SuAnne and Sean Ludwig, Madeline and Mary Woods, Giles and Erika Ludwig, Morgan and Reed Ludwig and Riley and Kathryn Fisher.
Miss Margaret was a long-time resident of Webster Parish and more recently enjoyed her “Granny Cottage” with her son Mike and daughter-in-law Irene in Bossier City. She was an ardent gardener and loved all outdoor activities including bird watching. Most importantly, she was a passionate mother and grandmother who always put family first. She will be greatly missed.
