Margaret McLemore
Haughton, LA – Mrs. Margaret L. McLemore, age 85, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2020. She was born October 7, 1934 in Cheyenne, Wyoming to Mollie and Carl Colvin. Mrs. McLemore was a longtime resident of Haughton, LA and very well known in the community. She was a founding member of Beulah Land Baptist Church, even allowing services at her home before they had a building. Margaret loved auctions, and garage sales! She and her grandson would go every weekend. Margaret would buy her treasures then turn around and re-sale them! A hobby of hers that never grew old!
Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend that will be missed by all that knew her. Mrs. McLemore was preceded in death by her two husbands, Marvin Ringgold, and George McLemore; her parents; brother, Carl Colvin, Jr.; and sisters, Billye Wyatt, Carol J. Gordon, and Johanna Emert.
She is survived by her children, Mike Ringgold and wife, Jo, Donna Mock and husband, Gene, Sandra Hendrickson and husband, Jason, step-children, Robert Ringgold, Johnny Ringgold, Marvin Curtis Ringgold, Jerry McLemore, William McLemore, George McLemore, Phyllis Dublin, Rhonda Cottingham and Nancy Lyles; grandchildren, Dustin Mock, Dylan Mock, Lynda Nagot, DeeJay Swaney, Zachary Swaney and wife, Chelsie, Jacob Hendrickson, Stephanie Ringgold, Shawn Ringgold, Jeremy Jones, Johnathan Jones and Jennifer Adorno, and many additional step- grandchildren and great- grandchildren; sister, Henrietta Morgan and husband, Donnie; numerous nieces, nephews, and special daughter, Cheryl McEntryre.
Due to the pandemic a private graveside service will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Park with a celebration of life service at a later date. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Mrs. McLemore’s name to the Youth or building fund of Beulah Land Baptist Church at 3179 Sligo Road, Haughton, LA 71037 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
