Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is pleased to announce new leadership for its locations in North Louisiana. Kim Hicks will now serve as the center administrator for sites in the region and Ericha Jarvis, BSN, RN has been promoted to program director for North Louisiana.

Hicks graduated from Northwestern State University in 1989 with an Associate of Applied Science degree. Since 2006, she has worked with Dr. Manish Dhawan and led the MD Clinics team as Director of Clinical Services until they joined Mary Bird Perkins in January 2024. In her new role, Kim will focus on strategic planning, budgeting and fiscal oversight for the North Louisiana region and working to ensure greater access and the highest quality care at the six sites that comprise Mary Bird Perkins’ northern Louisiana region.

Based in Mary Bird Perkins’ Minden location, Jarvis has served as head oncology RN since 2021. As program director for North Louisiana, her role is supporting clinics at every level and working closely with North Louisiana locations leaders in managing day-to-day operations. As a registered nurse, she has served as a leader in oncology for over 10 years with experience in multi-clinic operations, regulatory compliance and nurse team oversight. Before her arrival at Mary Bird Perkins, Ericha worked at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport and Minden Medical Center in Minden. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas.

“As we continue to grow and expand our reach into north Louisiana, we are grateful for leaders like Kim and Ericha who are rooted in the communities we serve and who understand the unique cancer needs of the people in this region,” said Jodi Conachen, chief operating officer, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center. “Our patients expect the highest standards in clinical quality and compassionate service. With Kim and Ericha guiding our efforts, we will continue to meet, and strive to exceed, this standard as we advance our mission to improve survivorship and lessen the burden of cancer.”

In 2024, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center expanded into new regions of the state through a strategic alliance with MD Clinics, a cancer care provider with locations spanning central and north Louisiana. The relationship has enhanced the groundwork laid by MD Clinics by providing additional resources and services, fostering a collaborative approach to providing cancer care that aligns with the shared missions of both organizations. The partnership represents a unified effort to bring more robust cancer care to these regions.

Mary Bird Perkins’ North Louisiana sites include Shreveport (740 Jordan St. and 850 Olive Street), Minden (10600 Industrial Dr.), Jonesboro (165 Beech St.), Natchitoches (4278 University Pkwy., Ste. 4) and Winnsboro (2106 B Loop Rd.).
