HAUGHTON – A memorial service for Mary Bowser Skolfield, 93, will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Rose-Neath’s Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Clarence Chism.
Mary Bowser Skolfield was born December 31, 1919 in Long Beach, CA and went to be with her Lord June 20, 2013. She was a strong mother, provider who earned her Masters Degree in Education. After years of teaching, she retired to travel to numerous antique doll activities as well as to Hawaii and the Holy Land several times.
Her husband, Emery Russell Skolfield and sons, Emery Roland Skolfield and David Wilsey Skolfield preceded her in death.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Claudia Skolfield Foster, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
