HAUGHTON – Funeral services celebrating the life of Maude Geraldine Chandler, age 88 will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier City, LA with Rev. Clarence Chism officiating. Interment will follow at the Haughton Cemetery in Haughton, LA. There will be a time of visitation Tuesday, February 4th from 10:30 am until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Chandler was born on August 21, 1925 in Lillie, LA to Willie and Bly Murray and passed away on January 31, 2014. She was a resident of Haughton, LA, manager of a Circle K Convenience Store and a member of the Baptist Tabernacle Church in Sibley, LA.
Mrs. Chandler is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Jim Wiley Grafton; husband, Frank R. Chandler, Jr.; brother, Bennie Murray and son-in-law, Harold G. Robertson.
She is survived by her son, Paul R. Chandler of Haughton, LA; daughters, Mary Robertson of Farmerville, LA, Alice Roberts and husband, Harold and Anita Chandler all of Haughton, LA. Mrs. Chandler is also survived by her grandchildren, Jeanne Robertson, Leslie Cobb (Kenny), Kevin Roberts (Pam), Reagan Smith (Justin) and great grandchildren; Claire Cobb, Casey Cobb, Kelsey Roberts, Clay Roberts, Coby Roberts, Addyson Smith and Coltyn Smith.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the charity of donor’s choice.
