The Bossier City Council unanimously approved a historic investment in public safety for the citizens of Bossier City. With the support of Mayor Chandler, the Mayor kept a campaign promise to prioritize and invest in public safety. The approved budget amendment will increase staffing for the Police Department and the Fire Department by ten positions. This increase recognizes the strong work of our public safety agencies, and with the additional officers, both departments will be better positioned to enhance community safety and emergency response. Mayor Chandler thanked the Council for its cooperation and expressed confidence that, together, they will continue to make Bossier City one of the safest cities in the state.
