On Thursday, January 25, 2024, members of the Bossier City Rotary Club hosted Bossier City Mayor Tommy Chandler, as the guest speaker for their weekly lunch meeting.

In his speech, Mayor Chandler gave updates on public safety, business growth and infrastructure projects.

“Bossier means business. Last year my office worked with the Bossier Chamber of Commerce to attract businesses to our city. And I’m looking forward to continuing that work. I’m proud to say right now that we have several multi-million dollar projects underway in our city. One of the largest projects that we have going on right now is Louisiana Live. Louisiana Live will be a gaming and entertainment destination that will take over the old Diamond Jacks Casino site. We had a groundbreaking ceremony for this project in December. This project represents a total investment into our community of around $300 million dollars. And, this project will bring new jobs to our local economy,” said Mayor Chandler.

The weekly Bossier City Rotary Club luncheon meeting is held at the Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites in Bossier City. The Rotary Club of Bossier City is a network of business leaders, neighbors, friends and problem solvers who unite and take action in order to provide service and create lasting change across the globe, both in our communities and in ourselves.
