Local contractor, McInnis Brothers Construction, Inc., is pleased to announce the promotion of Richard Harris to the position of President. Richard joined McInnis Brothers in 2003 as Project Manager, focusing primarily on healthcare and government construction. He was promoted to Vice President in 2010 and then to Executive Vice President in 2017.
Richard earned a B.S. in Construction Management from Northeast Louisiana University in 1997, and in 2012, was selected in the top 20 under 40 emerging leaders of Texas and Louisiana by Engineering News Record. He has served as past president of the Associated General Contractors of America Shreveport Chapter, and currently serves on the First Baptist Church School Board of Trustees and the Dallas Caddo Club Board of Directors. Richard is an active member at First Baptist Church–Shreveport, as well as other regional civic organizations.
McInnis Brothers Construction, Inc. was founded in 1947 and operates primarily in the states of Louisiana, Arkansas and Texas. Second generation family members George McInnis, Harry McInnis, Jr., and Philip McInnis will continue to serve on the company’s Board of Directors.
