The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers take a 10-1 record into Saturday’s game at Angelina College in Lufkin, Texas.
BPCC is coming off an 87-82 overtime victory Wednesday at home against Panola College, the No. 4-ranked team in NJCAA Division I.
The Cavaliers are 2-1 in Region XIV. They began conference play with a 63-55 victory over Paris Junior College Dec. 4 at home before suffering their first loss against Navarro 80-78 Dec. 7 on the road.
Former Ruston star Braylan McNeal led BPCC against Panola with 23 points. Simeon Powell, a 5-foot-10 freshman guard from Biloxi, Miss., scored 16. Charles Onana, a 6-7 freshman forward from Yaounde, Cameroon, added 12.
The Cavaliers rallied from a 46-37 halftime deficit and the game went into overtime tied at 73.
McNeal, a 6-6 sophomore guard, was averaging a 18.7 points and 9.8 rebounds through 10 games, both team highs. Onana was second in scoring at 16.5 points and rebounding 8.6.
Angelina is 8-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference. Trinity Valley (11-0), the No. 1 ranked team in Division I, is the only undefeated team in the conference at 4-0.
