Merry Christmas, Bossier City

BPCC, Bossier City team up for festive play

Bossier Parish Community College went “Around the World with Santa” during its 22nd annual Christmas Show this week.

Children (and those still young at heart) tracked Santa as he made his way to Bossier City with the help of the latest and greatest technology. Would Santa make it in time for the show? Of course he did…with a little help from the audience and his nine flying reindeer.

The event, which is a collaborative effort with the City of Bossier City, featured performances by the Cavalier Players Chorus, the BPCC Jazz Ensemble, the BPCC Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, the BPCC Gospel Choir, Jennifer McMullen, Bruce Wilson, David Player, the Cavalier Cheerleaders, and the Ladies in Gold.

Children will enjoy a fun-filled, holiday afternoon full of Christmas activities. Santa will be on-hand for photos and children will listen to a holiday story and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate.

Parents can also sign up to have Santa send a personalized letter from the North Pole to a special little one. There will also be a raffle for a giant stocking and set of family game night board games.

The afternoon is free and open to the public; however, a donation of a new, un-wrapped toy for children in need is requested.

For more information, contact BPCC’s Office of Student Life at (318) 678-6035.
