Merry Christmas

1161

From all of us at the Bossier Parish Libraries, Merry Christmas! It has been a pleasure serving our patrons in 2013. Everyone throughout the system has worked hard to provide fun programs and useful services for all ages. We have much to look forward to in the coming year.

Our biggest endeavor in 2014, is building a new library in the Koran community. The Anna P. Tooke Memorial Library will be a beautiful space for reading and learning. There will be a walking path and playground with an outdoor area for reading. Many thanks to the family of Bob Brotherton, to the Bossier Parish Police Jury, and others that helped make this dream come true for the residents of Koran.

VickieHardinWe have some new programs coming next year and hope that you will attend as many as possible. Our patron count is higher than ever and growing. For instance, if you went to the Aulds branch in November of this year, you were one of 4,334 other patrons who also used that library during the month. At Bossier Central Children’s Services, over 1,100 children attended programs during the months of September and October. These figures do not take into account the number of people coming and going at all of the branches.

The library’s collection is also expanding. There is a constant flow of new books in all formats arriving daily. It keeps Technical Services very busy cataloging each and every item. Whether you are looking for a book, CD, DVD, eBook, reference material, or magazine you can probably find it at one of the branches or by going on our website at www.bossierlibrary.org. If we do not have it make a request or place a hold on it. We will try our best to get it.

Book it to the Bossier Parish Libraries.

GTL is coming in January, 2014!
