Benton, Elm Grove and Cope earned victories in Bossier Parish middle school boys basketball action Monday,
In eighth-grade games reported to The Press-Tribune, Elm Grove edged Haughton 42-41 and Cope defeated Benton.
In seventh-grade games, Elm Grove defeated Haughton and Benton downed Cope 44-34.
At Benton, Jayden Gulfan and Malachi Stumon led the undefeated Cope eighth-grade squad with 13 and 11 points, respectively.
Damarion Woodard and Caleb Kasayka each scored eight. Jayden Gladney added seven.
Stumon and Kasayka had 10 rebounds each. Jarvis Davis ran the offense well.
Andrew Sharp and Drew Robinson led the Cope seventh-grade team with eight points each.
Khrysten Charles added seven. Dominic Conde and Charles played well defensively.
At Elm Grove, three Eagles scored in double figures as Elm Grove rallied for the hard-fought victory.
Jacob Gaskins had 13. Demarria Evans and Savion Bell scored 12 each.
Austin Wilson led Haughton with 16 points. Devontay Moss had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Andrew Markray added 10 points.
Caleb Evans led the victorious Elm Grove seventh-grade team with 14 points. Antonio Gladney added 11 and Kaleb Williams nine.
Haughton’s Braylon McHenry grabbed eight rebounds.
