Elm Grove won the 7th-8th-grade boys division in the Louisiana State Games cross country meet Saturday in Monroe.
Elm Grove scored 25 points, defeating runner-up Ruston Junior High by 45. Cope finished fourth.
Elm Grove placed four runners in the top six.
Ben Ruliffson won with a time of 7 minutes, 32.43 seconds over the 1.5-mile course. He edged runner-up Cooper Nelson of Sterlington Middle by 2.48 seconds.
Elm Grove’s Charles Ernest was third in 7:44.57.
Aiden O’Nishea and Brennan Robin finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Aaron O’Nishea was 10th. Leo Heng led Cope with a 12th-place finish.
Haughton Middle finished runner-up in the 5th-6th-grade girls division.
Brooklyn Ezernack and Alyssa Giddings led the Lady Bucs with 12th and 13th-place finishes, respectively. Ava Dickey was 17th.
Haughton’s Clara Hicks was 13th in the 7th-8th girls division.
Haughton’s Denver Parchman was eighth in the 5th-6th boys division. Elm Grove’s Isaac Ruliffson and Cope’s Elliott Morrison were ninth and 11th, respectively.
Cope’s Carter Ashby finished 16th.
