Middle school student arrested for threatening school

A Green Acres Middle School student has been arrested after reportedly threatening to shoot the school.

On Oct. 27, Bossier City Police Officers responded to investigate a report of a 14-year-old student of Green Acres Middle School making verbal threats in reference to committing a school shooting.

Investigators with the Bossier City Police Department Juvenile Unit and the Bossier Sheriff Parish Department, School Resource Officers, were made aware of the threats later that night after school was over.

Students that were in the gym class with the suspect were discussing it on social media, after school. A parent of one of the students was made aware of the incident and notified authorities.

The suspect was booked into the Ware Juvenile Detention Center, last night with a charge of Terrorizing. The suspect did not have the means to carry out the threat, and at this time BCPD believe the threat against the school was not viable.
