The horse, named Smokey, is described as a black gelding with a small white blaze and can be identified by a lip tattoo.

Bossier Parish deputies and the Livestock Brand Commission is asking for the assistance of the public to locate a horse reported missing in the southern part of the parish.

Carnie Burcham, investigator for the brand commission, said the horse disappeared from 240 Pecan Grove Lane located off Caplis Sligo Rd.  Burcham said an individual hired to transport the horse discovered him missing when he arrived to move the animal.

The horse, named Smokey, is described as a black gelding with a small white blaze and can be identified by a lip tattoo.

Anyone who believes they have seen the animal is urged to call the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office at 965-2203.
