MOAA and BAFB Retiree Office to honor La. Senator Robert Adley

The Ark-La-Tex Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) and Retiree Office at Barksdale Air Force Base will honor Louisiana Senator Robert Adley next month.

Adley is being recognized for his service to the state of Louisiana and continued support for the military during a recognition dinner at the base Feb. 21.

Adley, an Airline High School graduate who served two years in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam, was in the Louisiana House of Representatives for 16 years and has been in the Louisiana State Senate since 2003.

Sen. Adley was also instrumental in the passage of the bill for the Louisiana Veterans Honor Medal and will present the medal to Louisiana veterans at the dinner.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. with a social hour, followed by dinner at 6 p.m. at the Barksdale Club, located near the Bossier north gate. For 75 years, MOAA has been serving those who serve their country. Membership is open to active duty officers, Reserves and National Guard, former and retired officers and surviving spouses.
