A combined law enforcement effort took a dangerous murder suspect off the streets of Bossier City today.
This morning members of the United States Marshals Violent Offenders Task Force along with Louisiana State Probation and Parole and the Bossier City Police Department captured Eldrick Dontrail Carter, 28, of Monroe on warrants charging him with one count of 2nd degree murder and two counts of attempted 2nd degree murder.
Carter is wanted by Ouachita Parish authorities for shooting three people in Monroe at a Father’s Day family in June of this year. One of the victims died. After Carter was named as the suspect he fled the Ouachita Parish area and has been on the run for the past few months.
Agents were able to track Carter to an address in the 2100 block of Scott Street in Bossier City where they took him into custody without incident.
Carter was booked into the Bossier City Jail as a fugitive from Ouachita Parish. He was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility where he awaits extradition. His total bond on the warrants is set at $1,250,000.
