MSgt. Gerald B. Taylor Retired USAF


BOSSIER CITY – A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Rev. Justin Mathis, River Valley Church, will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park with full military honors. The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2013, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.

Gerald was born on March 8, 1928 in Walla-Walla, WA and passed away on July 28, 2013 in Bossier City, LA. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Loloa Taylor, son, Gerald Michael Taylor and grandson, Joshua Taylor Cade.

Gerald is survived by his daughters: Patty Lloyd and husband Bill, Lisa Cade and husband Jim, Lori Jenkins and husband Dennis and their mother, Eleanor Taylor. He is also survived by a special lifelong friend, Barbara Fortenberry and grandchildren, Jackie Hall, Kristin Murphy and husband Pat, Chance Lloyd and wife Katie, Jesse Lloyd, Stephen Cade, Daniel Jenkins, Taylor Cade, Chelsea Cade and great grandchildren, Trevor Murphy, Landry Lloyd and a host of extended family.

Barksdale Honor Guard will be the active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Jenkins, Jim Cade, Karl Fortenberry, Jr., Stephen Cade, Daniel Jenkins, Taylor Cade, Jacob Bryant and Patrick Murphy, III.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Moore and to the medical and nursing staff of Willis Knighton Bossier.
