MSI to host anniversary luncheon May 15

The Minority Supplier Institute will celebrate its three year anniversary on May 15 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. with a luncheon at the Petroleum Club, located at 416 Travis Street in Shreveport, LA.

This community update will applaud past and present achievements, and will recognize the corporate sponsor and MBE of the year. The keynote speaker for this celebratory event will be Mr. Kyle Culverhouse, Vice President of Pre-Construction with Core Construction which has regional offices in Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, and Nevada. Mr. Jeffrey Thomas, newly hired Managing Director of MSI, will also be formally introduced to all corporate partners, major sponsors, and members.

The Minority Suppliers Institute is the outgrowth of a report prepared by the Regional Technology Strategies for the Strategic Action Council of Northwest Louisiana. MSI’s mission is to address the racial income and opportunity gaps that blocks economic progress in northwest Louisiana by helping the region’s minority businesses grow and prosper. MSI will address these issues by advocating diverse suppliers to corporations, providing technical assistance, developing customized training, and directing to capital funders for its members.

This community update is free to invited guests. For additional information about this event please contact Jeffrey Thomas or Yolanda Ivy at (318) 562-1155 or yivy@strategicactioncouncil.org.
