Chief of Police Shane McWilliams administered oaths this morning to Police Officers Jordan D. Johnson, Charles M. Reynolds, Hunter J. Timms, Lamond O. Wheatley and Jailers John E. Easterling and Daryl Thomas with family, friends and department personnel in attendance.

Officers Johnson and Wheatley join the BCPD as certified law enforcement officers from other agencies while Reynolds and Timms completed their training this week at the Bossier Sheriff’s North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy. The new officers and jailers will now enter a 5-week long departmental training program to learn the policies and procedures of the Bossier City Police Department.

Following their departmental training, the 4 officers will spend three months riding patrol with Field Training Officers before being assigned to the patrol division while the jailers will undergo an addition 13 weeks of training in the jail before getting their permanent assignments.
