The Bossier City Police Department’s eight newest members officially joined the ranks this morning during a swearing in ceremony held at the Bossier City Public Safety Training Center.
On behalf of Chief of Police Shane McWilliams, Deputy Chief Jimmy Stewart administered oaths this morning to Police Officers Corey Burr, Colton Davis, Brian Dryer, Kenny Gallón, Chad Johnson, Neal Resse and Jeremy Watson.
Officers Burr, Davis, Johnson and Taylor join the BCPD as certified law enforcement officers from other agencies while Officers Dryer, Gallón, Reese and Watson completed their training last week at the Bossier Sheriff’s North Louisiana Criminal Justice Academy. The new officers will now enter a 4-week long departmental training program to learn the policies and procedures of the Bossier City Police Department.
Following their departmental training, the new officers will spend three months riding patrol with Field Training Officers before being assigned to the patrol division.
