No charges will be filed against a Bossier City woman after her three-year-old twins died inside a hot truck last month, according to Bossier District Attorney Schuyler Marvin.

Oliver and Aria Orr died June 18 after they were found inside a pickup truck parked outside their home in Bossier City. Temperatures were in the 90s when the twins died and investigators say they could have been inside the truck for two hours.

Authorities believe the children went outside and entered the pickup on their own while their mother, Alisha Orr, was sleeping in the house. The children were unable to exit the vehicle. A stool tall enough to reach a door handle was found beside the truck.

Marvin called it a “tragic accident.”

“We don’t believe she had any intent to cause their deaths,” he said.

Travis Orr, the twins’ father and a Bossier Parish sheriff’s deputy, was not home at the time of the incident.
