Angela Dye Elkins
Benton, LA – Services celebrating the life of Angela Dye Elkins “Gigi” were held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, LA. Angela’s brother, Rev. Tim Dye honored her, assisted by Rev. Trey McGuire and Rev. Jim Manning. Visitation was held prior to the service on Saturday, August 25, 2018 beginning at 10 a.m. at Cypress Baptist Church. The graveside gathering followed at Rose-Neath Cemetery in Bossier City, LA.
Angela was born on April 28, 1968 in Bastrop, LA to parents, Rev. Bobby and Janice Dye. She went to be with the Lord on August 7, 2018 in Jasper, AB, Canada. Angela was a loyal and loving wife and a dedicated mom and Gigi. She loved her church and was devoted to serving in the hospitality ministry. Angela’s career as a nurse at LSU Health Science and Overton Brooks VA, touched so many lives and she was passionate about caring and mentoring others.
She was received into heaven by her dad, Rev. Bobby Dye and her son-in-law, Nick Copeland.
Left to carry on her legacy are her husband, Curtis Lee Elkins of Benton; her mom, Janice Dye of Bossier City; daughters, Sarah Copeland of Houston, Kennedy Elkins of Vivian; son, Walker Elkins of Vivian; siblings, Amy Noonan and husband, Chris of Bossier City, Sam Dye and wife, Kelly of Many, Tim Dye and wife, Shera of Bossier City, Michael Dye and wife, Brandi of Many, Alison Dye of Bossier City and grandson, William Tate Copeland; father-in law and mother-in-law, Roger and Joanne Elkins of Shreveport, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and their pups, Buster and Sophie.
Honoring Angela as pallbearers were: Sam Dye, Michael Dye, Delayne Wyatt, Aaron Wyatt, D.J. Elkins and Walker Elkins. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Drake Dye, Caden Dye and Jake Dye.
