Ann Mullins Simpson
Haughton, LA – A graveside service for Ann M. Simpson, 84, was held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. in
Hill Crest Memorial Park. Pastor Bryan Reed of Simple Church officiated the service. The family invited friends to a visitation from 12 p.m. until service time.
Ann was born on April 4, 1934 to parents Everett and Bessie Mullins in Kincaid, WV. She invested her life in her family, keeping charge over their two boys as her husband, H. Mike Simpson, supported their family working in the insurance industry.
Ann loved to read crime novels and was an avid sports fan. She watched many sports, but her two favorites were baseball (Go Rangers!) and NASCAR (anybody but Kyle Busch). Mrs. Simpson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at her home on September 23, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband; sisters, Dorothy Hughes and Thelma Eads; and brother, Quinton Mullins.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chip and Matthew Simpson; grandchildren, Laurel Brown with husband Jeremy and Logan Simpson; sisters, Silvia Warner and Barbara Robertson with husband Jack; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and dear friends.
Jeremy Brown, Jeff Hudson, Aubrey Bell, David Jacks, Glenn Barnett, Brian Robertson and Rick Robertson served as pallbearers for Thursday’s service.
