BOSSIER CITY, LA – A Celebration of Life Service for Arletta Cecile Moore, age 79, of Bossier City will be held 3 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Haughton, LA with Pastor Rusty Shuler of Eastwood Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for a time of visitation from 2-3 p.m. prior to the memorial service.

Arletta was born in Cullendale, AR, on August 29, 1938 to Orland Alton Barner and Hattie Dunn Barner. She passed away in Bossier City and went to her heavenly home on October 30, 2017.

Arletta spent most of her life in Stephens, AR before moving to the Bossier City area. She married Gene Charles Moore in 1978 who preceded her in death in 2007. Arletta worked most of her professional life as an accountant providing 40 years of dedicated service to the International Paper Company. In her free time she enjoyed sewing and quilting and was a member of the Haughton Quilters Club. She was an avid reader who loved sitting down and immersing herself in a good book. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, but more than anything Arletta loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and a friend to many. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Orland and Hattie Barner; husband, Gene C. Moore; brother, Bobby R. Barner; and sister, Eugenia Barner. Arletta is survived by her son Donald Reece Watt, Jr. and wife Janice of Haughton, LA; step-son, Woodrow Moore of Las Ve gas, NV; granddaughters, Melanie Claire Watt and Olivia Grace Watt of Haughton, LA; sister Orlene Barner of AR; and a longtime friend, Freddie Cherry of Bossier City, LA.
