Obituary: Billy Dale Daigre (September 23, 1945-September 29, 2014)

Bill was a child of God and rededicated his life to Jesus Christ in 1979 along with his children at Barksdale Baptist Church in Bossier City, LA; in which he spent several years as a 5th grade Sunday School teacher. He is a current member of Edmond Road Baptist Church in Edmond, OK.

Billy joined the Air Force in June of 1963. During his 22-year career he served at Tinker AFB, OK; Cape Nuneham, AK; Little Rock AFB, AR; Goose Bay, Labrador, Canada, Lowery AFB, CO; Kadena AFB in Okinawa Japan, and Barksdale AFB, LA. After retiring in July 1985, he worked for the VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA as the Chief of Supply until May 2001.

Bill enjoyed tinkering with old cars, attending car shows, swap meets and computers. In his spare time he liked antiquing and what he loved most was spending time with his children and grandchildren. He spent many evenings eating watermelon on the patio, fishing at the lake, and going to the zoo with his grandsons. Spending time with his family was his greatest enjoyment in life. Funeral services for Bill will be on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at the Edmond Road Baptist Church with burial to proceed at Ringling Cemetery in Ringling, OK. Under the direction of Crawford Family Funeral Service, Edmond, OK.
