BOSSIER CITY, LA – Billy Howard Eaton, 74 of Bossier City, Louisiana passed away on Friday, June 24th, 2016. A Celebration of Life will be held on, Tuesday, June 28th, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Hill Crest Funeral Home in the Chapel with burial at Hill Crest Memorial Park to follow. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 27th, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Billy was born in LaGrange, Georgia on February 15th, 1942. He graduated from Camp Hill High School, received his LPN license from vo-tech and worked at LSUMC. In 2012 he graduated from Northwestern State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi. He was married to Patricia Mobley in 1995.

Billy had a career in the United States Air Force for 20 years where he retired as an Msgt. He was a corporate Pilot, FAA Examiner, Ground School Instructor, and held multiple ratings as a pilot; twin engine, aerobatic, and sea plane. He was a member of First Baptist Bossier, the NRA, American Legion, and had a passion for racing race cars, flying, and watching his granddaughter play tennis and softball throughout her years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Eaton; mother, Gaynell Eaton; father, Howard Eaton; brother, James Eaton; sister, Wanda McCullars; and nephew, Jason Barr.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Eaton Griffin; granddaughter, Deserea Griffin Dunn and husband Brett; great granddaughters, Jocelyn Ivory Dunn and Jillian Irene Dunn; aunt, Jean Stuckey; nephews, Russell McCullars, Michael Eaton, and Blaine Eaton.

The family would like to thank all of his doctors and nurses that took good care of him at Willis Knighton North and the Cancer Center.
