BOSSIER CITY – Memorial services for Billy Triplett will be 9:00 AM, Friday, November 4, 2016 at Boone Funeral Home-Bossier.

Billy Triplett, 67, of Bossier City, passed away on November 1, 2016 in Bossier City.

Billy was born in Salina, Kansas to Leroy and Norma Triplett on June 28, 1949. He went to Bossier high school and graduated in 1968. He went on to earn a degree at Louisiana Tech in 1972. Additionally he went on to earn a Master’s degree from Northeastern Louisiana University (NLU), and a second Master’s degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) at Baton Rouge. He worked as the Assistant Director of LSU Medical school library for 30 years. He was involved in the American Library Association (ALA). He enjoyed all sporting events/activities and was a die-hard Trekkie.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy W. and Norma A. Triplett. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Jean Triplett, Suwanee, Ga; sister, Jeanette Triplett Richards, Pensacola, FL; and brother, Robert Allen Triplett, Albuquerque, N.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the LSU Medical Center Library at Shreveport.

Billy was loved by all and will be truly missed by his family and everyone he has touched with his kindness through the years.
