Charles Donald “Charlie” Rich
Plain Dealing, LA – Memorial services for Mr. Charles Donald “Charlie” Rich, age 64 Years, will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the Plain Dealing Baptist Church, Plain Dealing, LA, with Rev. Scott Teutsch officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
Charlie was born on February 12, 1953 to Charles Grey and Dorothy Townsend Rich in Plain Dealing, LA and passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Plain Dealing, LA. He was a U.S. Veteran serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam war. He worked for Frymire Heating and Air, Dallas, TX for 16 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was an avid reader.
He is survived by his son, Brandon Charles Rich of Homer, LA; very special friend, Vicki Miley of Rockwall, TX; mother, Dorothy Rich of Plain Dealing; three sisters, Carol Thompson and husband, Huey of Plain Dealing, Dianne Martin and husband, Bruce of Texarkana, TX, Sandra Montgomery of Plain Dealing, LA; brother-in-law, Tommy Tucker; aunt, Nell Huddleston; uncle, Bennie Joe Rich; step-daughter, Julie Garcia and husband, Joe of Rowlett, TX; three grandsons, Garrett Garcia, Gabriel Garcia, Gavin Garcia; granddaughter, Giana Garcia; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rich was preceded in death by father; sister, Barbara Ann Rich Tucker; and brother-in-law, Bobby Ray Davis.
