Danny Dwayne McLarty
BOSSIER CITY, LA – Danny Dwayne McLarty, 69, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. He was born in Littlefield, TX on November 24, 1946, and graduated from Levelland High School and received his Bachelors of Architecture from Texas Tech University.
In 2008 Danny married Wanda Hailey McLarty. He had his own architectural firm in Lubbock, Fort Worth, and Allen, TX. He worked for Aguirre Architects and Rees Associates in Dallas, TX, and The Estopinal Group in Shreveport, LA. Danny was a member of Open Door Bible Church and had a passion for God, airplanes, flying, travel and music.
Danny is survived by his wife, Wanda; his children, Mandy McLarty Kirk and husband Travis of Plano, TX, and Kristi McLarty of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Ella and William Kirk, Chris McLarty and wife, Patty, Joseph Williams, Kobe Manahan, and K`Juan White; one great-granddaughter; step-daughter, Emerald Hailey Chiles and her sons, Lance and Zachary; brother, Wayne McLarty of Lubbock, TX; sister, Myrna (Booty) Reed and husband Jack of Lubbock, TX, Teri West and husband Waldo of Wolfforth, TX; and his first wife, Karen McLarty of Allen, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held for Danny at 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016, at Open Door Bible Church.
