HAUGHTON – Celebration of life service for Don Goad will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Dave McKinney will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Haughton Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
Don was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and he was a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, gardening and carpentry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Violet Goad; brother, Everett Goad; mother of his children, Patricia Goad and several half-siblings.
Don is survived by his wife Ann; children, Gary Turner and wife Kathy, Kathy McKee and husband Greg, Lisa Creswell and husband Jimmie, Darrell Goad and wife Cheryl and Wiley Harris. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Allan and Eddie Pauley, Krystal Cook and Kari, Kyler and Kaleb McKee, Robert Thorndyke and Christopher Jenkins, Cortney Jennings and Chelsea Goad; 8 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Doug Adams, Ray Adams, Jimmie Creswell, Rick Marrs, Matt Marrs and Anthony Taravella.
