BOSSIER CITY – Services for Derek Michael Rodrigues, 40, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 3, 2015, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Harper officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 2, 2015, in the chapel.
Derek was born on April 3, 1975, in Natchitoches, LA and passed away on August 30, 2015, in Shreveport, LA as a result of a car accident. Derek graduated from Natchitoches High School in 1993. He was employed at Gas Analytical Services as a field tech for five years. He enjoyed hunting and watching LSU football. Derek will be remembered as a loving and caring husband and father. He will be greatly missed by many.
Derek was preceded in death by his grandparents, Helen Mitchell and Truly Horn, and Ruby and Raymond “Chino” Rodrigues.
He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie Edgar Rodrigues; his twin children, Ella Ruby and Maximus Neil Rodrigues; parents, Sam Rodrigues and Mary Horn; sister, Crystal Mitchell and husband, Gerald; brother, Robert Rodrigues and wife, Tina; niece and nephews, Joey Benoit and wife, Jamie, Hannah Jones, Chandler Jones, Trenton Rodrigues and Joshua Rodrigues; cousin and best friend, Jason Rodriguez and wife, Misty and their children, Jordan and Abbie Rodriguez; mother and father-in-law, Carolyn Lee Edgar and Andrew Stevenson; and sister-in-law, Laura Edgar and fiancé, Adam Gagneaux; and numerous other family members.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Carter, Trey Hawn, Larry Miller, and Kai Hill.
