BOSSIER CITY, LA – Donna was the one person you could always count on. She spent her life as a servant, always giving to others. Her date book was definitely a testimony of a life not wasted! She loved the Lord and was a devoted Christian and Baptist. Donna’s time was divided between caring for her family, teaching at the Shreveport Rescue Mission, participating in Celebrate Recovery at both the Church at Red River and First Baptist Bossier and a faithful follower of BSF. She was also a member of The Bossier Chamber of Commerce and Meals on Wheels. Donna was equally proud of her Pampered Chef business which she enjoyed for fifteen years. In death, as in life, Donna continues to give. Her final wish was to give to others as a donor.
Donna left us to join her heavenly father on Tuesday, July 8th. We will celebrate her life at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 12th, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Gene Nix officiating. Entombment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive guests on Friday evening between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Shirley Hathorn. Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Dave White; son, Jeremy White; daughters, Lisa Suzanne Woods and husband Klaten, and Lisa Leann Harmon and husband Dean; sister, DeLaine Roach and husband Phillip; grandchildren, Ashlee O’con, Anna Grace Harmon, Katherine Rose Woods, Sterling Harmon, and Josha Woods; her beloved dog, Savannah; and many dear friends.
Donna was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She will be deeply missed!
