Plain Dealing, LA – Graveside services and interment for Mrs. Doris Marie Pearce Haynes, age 89, will be held Monday, July 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Plain Dealing Cemetery with Pastors Dale Sauls and Mark Briggs officiating. Services are under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Plain Dealing, LA.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home in Plain Dealing.
Mrs. Haynes was born on November 6, 1924 in Glenmore, LA to John William and Ruby Cooper Pearce and passed away, Friday, July 4, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. She married Howard Haynes July 3, 1943. They lived and raised seven children in Plain Dealing, LA. For the last few years, she was a resident of Colonial Oaks Guest Care Center in Bossier City, LA.
Preceding her in death was Howard Haynes, the father of her children; her parents, Buster and Ruby Pearce; her brothers, Claude and Bill Pearce; her sister, Florence Alsabrook and her grandson, Raffe Howard Haynes.
Doris is survived by five daughters and two sons, Anne Timmers and husband, Cliff; Barbara Magnino and husband, Gary; Joanie Woodruff; Shirley Pettitt and husband, Jerry; Melba Ashworth and husband, Ricky; Ralph Haynes and wife, Lisa and, Rocky Haynes. She has 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Floriene Grimes, brother, Bobby Pearce; sisters-in-law, Mildred Carter, Joyce Hinson, Rita Cox and a brother-in-law, Clyde Haynes. Through the years, she has had numerous extended family members and loved them all. Everyone loved “the Memaw” and she will be missed by all.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Curtis Crowley, Andy Woodruff, Johnnie Woodruff, Donnie Walding, Rusty Wells, Russell Haynes and Garrett Haynes.
Our mother was a very special person to many people and we all have great memories. The family of Doris appreciates all the help and care given to our mother during her time of need.
