Faye LaDell Herrington
Bossier City, LA – Funeral service celebrating the life of Faye LaDell Herrington, 79, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Rose-Neath Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Bro. John Harp. Interment will be at Rose-Neath Cemetery, Bossier City, LA. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until service time Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Faye was born February 14, 1939, in Cotton Valley, LA to Vada Elizabeth Martin Humphrey and Joseph Floyd Humphrey and passed away peacefully August 3, 2018, in Shreveport, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and Nanny. Nothing made her happier than being with her family. Faye was the foundation of love, laughter and strength that her husband, children and grandchildren could count on. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church.
Faye worked in merchandising and sales for M& M Mars Company and Mattel Toys, while with Mattel she enjoyed being known as “The Barbie Lady” by many of her clients. She retired from Mattel Toys in 2009.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Gerald Humphrey and Melvin Humphrey, sisters, Ruby Tecek, Geneva DeMary, Juanita Dixon and Geraldine Brinkman.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Wilmor Glen Herrington of Bossier City, LA; daughters, Renee Singletary of Bossier City, LA and Michelle Singletary of Bossier City, LA; son, Eric Herrington of Bossier City, La; sisters, Shirley Allen Brown of Shreveport, LA and Carolyn Humphrey of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Nikki Setnikar, A. J. Womack and Morgan Miles; great-grandchildren, Sydney Womack, Ella Setnikar, Raelyn Womack, Ryan Setnikar and Greyson Womack; and numerous loved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Robin Hill and the staff at Aime Hospice of Shreveport, LA.
Honoring Faye as pallbearers will be Michael Page, Marvin Evans, Chris Setnikar, John Skinner, Lynn Allen and Jerry Harbour.
